TL;DR: Smells great, has amazing, luxurious and thoughtful packaging, might take a bit of time to ship but will arrive, their social media a bit sparse but they're legit, quite strong at start, mellows out, lasted 7, 8 hours or so on first wear, more testing is needed, would buy from them again.
I’ll start with the good: The perfume arrived in almost perfect condition (I’ll touch upon that later), albeit a day or 2 late, which was understandable as the shipment date just happened to line up with Storm Darragh’s Reign of Terror over the weekend.
It smells lovely, and though I didn't know exactly what to expect as it was a blind buy, I was most pleased with the scent as I wore it. I got the vanilla notes, cinnamon and most of the other notes listed, and they combined beautifully.
It is very much an Arabian scent (been to Saudi Arabia and family wear a lot of Arabian scents), but I knew that going in and if that's what you're after (I was), you will not be disappointed.
The packaging was beautiful; I loved the colour of the bottle and box along with the gold cap of the bottle. And the artwork of the mountains and the mosque on the box (and mostly the mosque on the bottle) was lovely too. I could tell that a lot of thought and effort went into the presentation and design.
The less than stellar: There wasn't much padding for the presentation box inside the shipping box, meaning it could move around a bit. That being said, there wasn't any physical damage to the presentation box apart from a minuscule part of the black lining (on the inside of the presentation box) being slightly lifted from the main body, and a couple of white marks on the inside of it too.
The bottle had a bit of the paint that had come off on a few places (but again, in very small areas and most of it was constrained to the bottom of the bottle).
On to the scent: as mentioned above, it did last a good few hours, however, I will need to wear it more to see if different situations impact how long it lasts. I also mentioned that it was quite strong at the start, but not in an overpowering sense, and it does still smell heavenly at the start.
All in all, though I might have been a bit unsure of their legitimacy due to the lack of reviews, I was ultimately pleased with my purchase and would recommend The Sultan. It smells lovely, has beautiful packaging, and Konka put thought and care into every part of the product :)
